After premiering in Sydney, Roald Dahl’s delicious tale, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, will open its doors in Melbourne from August and is on sale in Brisbane. It’s a delectable treat featuring songs from the original film, including Pure Imagination, The Candy Man and I’ve Got a Golden Ticket, alongside a brand new, toe-tapping and ear-tickling new score.

Jayde trained at Bird College of Performing Arts in London where she received a 1st BA Hons Theatre and Performance Degree. Jayde’s credits include playing the role of Judy Haynes in White Christmas, Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show (UK tour), Mona and covering Velma Kelly in Chicago (London West End), Mary Delgado in Jersey Boys (West End), Rosie in Sweet Charity (Menier Chocolate Factory), Anita on the 50th Anniversary tour of West Side Story, Rizzo in Grease (West End), Stephanie Mangano on the UK and Asian tour of Saturday Night Fever, Ali in Mamma Mia! (International tour), Thoroughly Modern Millie (West End) and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (UK tour).

Since moving to Australia, she has been seen once again as Magenta in the 2015 tour of The Rocky Horror Show. In 2016 Jayde played the role of Melpomene in Xanadu at The Hayes Theatre Co and was part of the original cast of Dream Lover: The Bobby Darin Musical. Early 2017 saw Jayde taking on the role of Lucille Ball in Everybody Loves Lucy touring Australia. Most recently Jayde toured in the new Australian production of Mamma Mia! as Tanya.
