Octavia Barron Martin
Octavia graduated from WAAPA in 2001 with a BA in Music Theatre. Prior to WAAPA she appeared in the feature film Looking For Alibrandi and upon graduating, The Honourable Wally Norman. Her theatre credits include Love’s Triumph, Young Tycoons and LaLa Land (Darlinghurst Theatre/ Spooky Duck), Vincent in Brixton, Losing Louis and Absurd Person Singular (Ensemble Theatre), Debbie Does Dallas The Musical (Three Amigos/Rockcity), Influence and Kittenbone Bridge (Sydney Theatre Company), Fiddler On The Roof (TML), The Hatpin (Whitebox/ Gooding Productions), LOVEBites (Whitebox), Little Women (Kookaburra), The 39 Steps (Angelfire/ Tinderbox), What a Shock ‘n Shame (New Theatre), the national regional tour of Breast Wishes (Bien Etre) and Belongings (Whitebox/ Civic Theatre Wagga Wagga).
Octavia understudied and performed the role of Madame Thénadier in the 2014/15 Australian tour of Les Misérables. Most recently she appeared as Mrs Hopkins in Julie Andrew’s My Fair Lady (Opera Australia/ John Frost). Her television credits include Doctor Doctor, All Saints, The Alice, Through My Eyes, Out of the Blue, Who Killed Dr Bogle and Mrs Chandler? I, Spry, The Politically Incorrect Parenting Show, Mary Mackillop: A Saint For All Australians and Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo.
