Paul Slade Smith
Willy Wonka
Paul Slade Smith makes his Sydney debut with this production. His New York credits include the original Broadway companies of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland and the current Broadway revival of My Fair Lady. Paul appeared in the final tour of the original Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera, and the first North American tour of Wicked. His regional American credits include Steppenwolf Theatre Company, The Goodman Theatre, American Repertory Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Paul is also an award-winning playwright; his first play, Unnecessary Farce, has been produced over 250 times throughout the United States, and in Canada, Great Britain, Switzerland, Iceland and Singapore. His latest play, The Outsider, has just been published by Broadway Licensing. Paul is thrilled to be here in Australia, and beyond grateful to Jack, Marc, Scott and the entire team, and to Diane at HCKR and Rachel at Telsey & Co. And, as always, he’s sending his love to Erin in Brooklyn, and to our four-legged kids, Arthur, George, Betty and Millie.
